I Am Back!!!! Did you miss me?

Whew!! So happy to be back on my computer. I can't believe how lonely and boring it has been for the past 15 hours while we had a major power outage. People in Texas were being warned for days of coming bad weather, but who would have thought it would fly right up to Ohio like it did. We had a wind storm like I have never seen before. Gusts were coming at 70 and 80 miles an hour and it lasted for hours and hours. So strange and so scary. Trees were coming down, light poles were lying on the ground and the siding and shingles were flying off of the buildings. Since our whole place is electric we were without everything. I missed my coffee the most and really suffered at night because I had to sleep without my C-pap or oxygen. I had one sweet headache in the morning. Well, it is over now and I sure do appreciate getting back on the computer and having a nice cup of coffee. It makes me really feel for all those people in Texas and other places that have had the rain and flooding as well as the wind. The devastation has to be so horrific to endure.

September 11th......A Moment of Silence

Just wanted to say hello share a moment of reflection with everyone. It has been 7 years since 9/11 and the remembrance is still so hard to comprehend. May it never happen again.
Here I am sitting in my most favorite room in the whole world, dreaming up something fun to create and drinking my heavenly cup of coffee. Life is good.

A New Day September 10, 2008

Hi Terry, Hi all............I am on a roll today and just had to stop in here and let everyone know how good I feel. The pall has been lifted and my thinking powers are back. Not sure what gets me down like that, but now that it is over I hope to accomplish great things. I am taking a new class on NYCScraps with Sherry Steveson. I am so excited about it because we are going to learn several different techniques to dress up our pages. I know a little bit about embossing and inking, but really want to learn how to use them often. So I am off! Finished my homework for today and just have to get it posted.
Another thing that I accomplished was to go up to the Manager's office of our apartment complex and ask about posting a notice to find other scrappers to "play" with. He was thrilled with the idea and put my notice on the web and said he would make copies and put one in each unit. Can't ask for more than that. I sure hope there are some potential scrappers out there so that I don't get so unbearably lonely this winter. I made a cute layout of the manager's daughter at the pool. He liked it and it gave him an idea of what the scrapbooking is all about.
I can't believe it is the 10th of September already. We are still having such beautiful sunny weather and the pool is still open; however, it is not real hot and I am not fond of going in that cold water unless I am very hot.
We had a wonderful Labor Day Week end. Julie, Jean and kids came to visit and we had two perfect days in the pool. Larken and Jasper are just like little fish, they just love that water and can't seem to get enough of it. It was so fun having them here and we celebrated Jasper's 4th birthday too. He is so cute and I did get lots of pictures of them both. I will be posting layouts soon. I had made a mini album for Jasper for his birthday with all kinds of pictures of just him. He loved it and now I realize I forgot to take a picture of it. It seems like we always have so many pictures of Larken when she was a baby because she was the first born and also because she was a preemie and so very tiny. We took so many pictures just showing her progress. Well, Jasper has been asking about pictures of him when he was a baby, so that is what prompted me to make the book.
Another thing I am going to get going on today is crafting again. I want to get out my sewing machine and make some crafts again. Not sure what I will work on but there are plenty of things started that could be finished. I have decided since we hardly ever eat at our dining room table I will just take over that spot for sewing.
Guess I better get going and follow up on all these brainstorms that I am having lately. Happy Day Everyone!!!
